One of the more important considerations in building your new home will be the budget. Understanding what you would like to spend on your new home will help establish appropriate parameters for much of your other decision-making. A Sprouse House Custom Home is truly designed to your individual tastes, dreams, and is based on a determination of what is most important to you, and of course, the amount you want to spend.
A common question is how much will my home cost per square foot: If only there was a simple answer to that question. In any event, be assured that before we ever finalize a design or start construction, we meet with you and create a line item budget designed specifically for your home and you will know exactly what your cost per square foot will be before ever signing a final contract to build.
Sprouse House builds luxury estate homes that have ranged in price from $120 per square foot to $350 per square foot. Whether you are building a $500 thousand home or $3 million dollar home, we at Sprouse House strive to provide more than any other builder. We want every $100 you spend to look like $200. Ultimately, the value of your new home is a function not only of price, but quality, service, operating expenses, maintenance costs and resale value.
Our homebuilding experience and financial expertise can help you simplify and understand the complexities of financing your new home. We are happy to review different financing options and can work with your financial institutions and lenders or utilize one of ours. You will want to pre-qualify with the lender you choose and also discuss your options directly with them. There are currently many programs with great rates and we are happy to direct or assist in securing lot loans, construction loans and final home mortgages.

Whether you envision your home located on the water, in a master-planned community, with a spectacular wooded view or in a guard-gated neighborhood, our experienced team is always here to help with questions and recommendations regarding where you see yourself living. We have lots we can sell you (Please see ‘Where We Build’ [Link] under Additional Resources) or we can help you find the property of your dreams, or we can build on your lot.
We will not only help you find the perfect lot and location for your new home, but assist in understanding how the geographical and topographical attributes of your lot will directly influence architectural design and construction. We’ll gladly obtain and review lot surveys, deed restrictions, site requirements and any applicable covenants, restrictions, building or preservation codes. This will help determine how to get the most optimal use of your lot taking into consideration what natural features can be retained or incorporated into your home design.
We welcome customers that already have their own lots as well as those who don’t. We can and frequently do ‘build on your lot’. If you already have a lot or are interesting in building on a lot where there is an existing home or structure on the property that needs removal, we also provide demolition services.
Architectural Design & Plan Development
We’re sure you’ll have lots of ideas for your new home and we’re excited to hear them all. We realize the planning of your new home is an effort to improve your quality of living. We introduce clients to architects that match their personal style, and then work jointly with the clients and architect to design the home of their dreams. We’ll work with you, the architect and/or designer to develop the perfect floor plan and exterior look of your home! We’ll see that your plan fits your lifestyle—how you and your family really live on a day-to-day basis. We’ll help you identify the features that will enhance your life and create a better way of living. We will advise on the costs of different features, materials, amenities, etc. as you are developing your unique plan so you will have an idea of your budget as you are designing. Many people make the mistake of developing their plans first and then finding out that their dream is way over their budget or discovering their costs are less than expected and then redoing their plans to add additional features.
If you have already developed your plans, we are happy to provide you an estimate of the cost to build your home and advise on any other relevant facts that may affect your construction plans.

In consultations with our expert providers you will get the best design and decorating services and receive their knowledge and experience. All this, while Sprouse House manages your selections and budget.
